Current BMW 6-Series Lineup

Power and Acceleration

The new BMW 6-Series gets a powerful 4.8-liter V8 engine, which generates 360 pound-feet of torque at 3,400 rotor rpm and 360-horsepower at 6,300 rpm. Although it is coming with a standard Dynamic Driving Control, a sport automatic transmission along with shift paddles, is also on the offer in the top end trim, without any additional cost.

Performance

Both convertible and coupe models have a maximum speed of 150 mph. However, ability of the coupe is more than that of convertible as it takes about 0.3 seconds lesser to reach the 60mph mark; convertible takes 5.3 seconds to achieve 60 mph speed.

EPA Test Results

Reports of the EPA for 650i coupe (manual mode) indicate satisfactory figures of 15 mpg and 22 mpg on city and highway respectively, whereas for the 650i Convertible (manual mode), the MPG values are 14 in city and 21 on highway. Similarly, EPA ratings for both automatic versions are 15/21 mpg.
